You’d be surprised to hear that it’s not the plans, sections and elevations that get my heart a flutter – although very important and they need to communicate the design.

My favourite drawing is the site layout. Why? I’m always amazed at the difference from the beginning of the drawing, to the end. It can be the most dramatic of transformations. from the barest drawing with a few lines with a drawing that is incredibly technical which is jam=packed with heaps of information.
