I tweeted this earlier in the month and I think it needs a blog post of it’s own:
I’ve been self-employed and in business 25 years!
Self-employment started early as I was doing PJ’s (Private Jobs) whilst still at college (and in employment) and I was working self-employed contract during the year I took Part III in 1989, I then set up a succession of different businesses in several different sectors (ranging from CAD & BIM training/consultancy, photographic virtual tours (I was one of the pioneers of this when Apple’s QuickTimeVR was introduced) as well as running an architectural practice on and off.
So here I am, now in the West of Ireland, since 2004 running an architectural practice, full-time concentrating on predominantly residential work on new, one-off houses, extensions, restorations and refurbishments.
You can see some of the projects from this last year on the home page (Click on HOME above).
I hope you all have a great 2014 – I’m feeling positive for the year (It’s not been easy over the last few years).
Congratulations! And may 2014 be your most successful year yet!
Many thanks Pat, you too – have a great one.
