Following on from yesterday’s Dermot Bannon Post; here’s another snippet from his forthcoming book ‘Love Your Home’:
“Money spent on an architect at the design stage is potentially €100,000 saved 10 years down the road.”
What Dermot is referencing are the houses that have under utilised rooms that pay little respect to the site or topography; he (and me) then called in to re-design and retrofit a more practical and family friendly solution.
Therefore if you’re thinking about a new home or working with your existing; it pays to employ an architect. Ideally this should be done as early as possible.
