As RIAI Architects Accredited in Conservation (Grade III) we are often required to prepare Conservation Reports for planning applications or feasibility reports. We are pleased to now offer this service as an online purchase.
The RIAI has published Guidelines on the Conservation of Buildings and what is required and can be downloaded HERE. The Conservation Report we produce which is suitable for Planning Application purposes contains the following:
• Introduction to the project
• Historical background to area
• Specific Historical background of the project including historical maps, drawings and photographs (where available)
• RPS and NIAH Records
• Details of the Conservation Principles and Charters the report is based upon
• Summary of Proposals
• Details on the proposals with regards to the appropriate conservation interventions in relation to the Conservation Principles and Charters; this includes:
– Walls
– Floors
– Roofs
– Windows
– Doors
– Increasing thermal performance
– Plumbing
– Mechanical & Electrical
– Works within the curtilage of the site
– Part M
• Assessment and Conclusion
We can provide this service either as part of our own architectural appointment or we are equally happy to work alongside your own architect/engineer.
We'll contact you once payment is made to arrange the first meeting on site and to commence the report.
The cost of this service may not include any requests for Further Information requested by the Local Authority; this will depend upon what they may require from other specialist consultants (archaeological, bats, SAC etc…). The cost of this service also includes travel expenses within Co. Mayo – for reports beyond this area you will need to include TRAVEL EXPENSES
