I doubt if this will be the last post on the 2013 Building Control amendment but I thought it interesting to share the RIAI statement on the welcome of the changes but also caution.

My viewpoint? As per the previous posts I’m in agreement with the RIAI; there are lots of other issues regarding fees, responsibilities etc… but the bottom line is that (at last) it looks like the Building Regulations and Building Control are improving. It’s important however, that you don’t confuse different issues and that the issue at hand is fully understood and (more or less) welcomed.
