{"id":2842,"date":"2012-12-14T10:13:14","date_gmt":"2012-12-14T10:13:14","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/markstephensarchitects.com\/?p=2842"},"modified":"2012-12-14T10:13:14","modified_gmt":"2012-12-14T10:13:14","slug":"a-day-in-the-life-of-the-oxford-school-of-architecture-1985-oxford-poly-as-it-was","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.markstephensarchitects.com\/a-day-in-the-life-of-the-oxford-school-of-architecture-1985-oxford-poly-as-it-was\/","title":{"rendered":"A day in the life of the Oxford School of Architecture 1985 (Oxford Poly as it was)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Sometimes you see something that really takes you back in time and this did it for me this morning&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>It probably wouldn&#8217;t make any sense unless you were there but sit back and enjoy <em>&#8216;A day in the life of the Oxford School of Architecture 1985&#8217;<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Although I was there in &#8217;85 (finishing degree course), I have no recollection of this, nor were any of my peers in the film &#8211; my guess is that it was a first year psychology project.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s great to see the tutors and amazingly some of them 27 years later are still working in the School and sadly some of them are no longer with us. Therefore a big respect goes to the following for still educating the young architectural minds of what is now Oxford brookes University:<\/p>\n<p>Byron Mikellides &#8211; Emeritus Professor<\/p>\n<p>Paul Proudman &#8211; Associate Lecturer<\/p>\n<p>John Stevenson &#8211; Associate Lecturer<\/p>\n<p>Anyway, enjoy &#8211; it was good to be a part of it both as a student and on the staff roll for a while (teaching GABLE CAD as part of and following my Diploma thesis)<\/p>\n<span class=\"embed-youtube\" style=\"text-align:center;
