Following on from the previous post, I got to thinking about the smallest restoration in Ireland (if not the world) and realised it was the direct opposite of Grand Designs; a small project on a minimal budget and hence Little Designs was born.

With the recession tightening in Ireland, the only way to think now is small. the days of the big Celtic Tiger McMansion are over. We have to think small, think smart and with money short we need to get top results for every euro.

The concept is to show the restoration in the form of a a series of short movies and as well as the construction budget being tight, the production expenditure for the movies is also ‘Little’. The entire movie was filmed and edited on an iPhone – including all the voiceovers, transitions and music !

So, sit tight and welcome to the first movie (and before you say it’s a load of Cobblers (which technically it is) remember I’m still learning)…
