Passion for architecture! #ArchitecturalPilgrimages #Chicago #FrankLloydWright #Architalks

I’ve just finished THIS POST on the tips I would give to architecture students either starting school or returning and one of the nuggets of advice was to be passionate about architecture.

I’ve been lucky over the years to have travelled to some great spots and it is part of the architectural course to include study trips to different destinations (for YT it was Vienna in 2nd year and Berlin in the 5th).

I wrote THIS POST very recently on my trip to Cabbagetown in Toronto.

THIS SUMMARY of posts from my trip to Rome

And I’m incredibly looking forward to looking forward to a trip to Chicago and surrounding areas where we hope to fit in the following in a ‘whistlestop’ tour:

After hours drinks, jazz & canapés at Frank Lloyd Wright’s Robie House

Historic Neighborhood Walking Tour of Oak Park Including Frank Lloyd Wright’s Home and Studio

Chicago Architecture River Cruise

• Tour of Farnsworth House by Mies van der Rohe

• Guided tours of Fallingwater & Kentuck Knob by Frank Lloyd Wright

I’ll give a full post including photos etc… on my return later this year.

ps I’ve also dragged the family round to some great locations too. Here we are a while back at the Guggenheim in Bilbao – remember Passion!
