Where I work, how to find an architect & I can't be everywhere so who else would I trust?

The work of an architect tends (unless you’re a starchitect) to be fairly locally based. But saying that it’s still surprising the spread that the working is taking on; with most of the projects centred around the county I live (Mayo) there are projects now across most of the West of Ireland as shown in the map below – Currently invaded counties (Mayo, Galway, Sligo, Roscommon and Clare) coloured red πŸ˜‰

Spread of work

But I can’t be everywhere and I frequently pass on work leads to other closer architects or recommend the RIAI Practice Search facility…

So who would I trust to provide a great level of architectural service in other areas? Here’s a starter list that I’ll revise as I can (and if you think you should be included then CONNECT with me…

Wexford – Isabel Barros Architects

Wexford – Zeno Winkens at http://www.winkens.ie

Dublin & Carlow – Keith Graham at Form Architecture

Cork – Paul McNally at pmnarchitecture.com

I think it’s always best to work locally but I’m still open to offers for working further afield. Furthest distance worked was for Roger Downing in the British Virgin Islands. It doesn’t have to be that far away, I hear Lanzarote is nice this time of year πŸ˜‰
