Following a question from Cormac on this Fridays Ask the Architect session, the following are universities that offer the Architecture course (information from the RIAI site)

Dublin Institute of Technology

Waterford Institute of Technology.

University of Limerick
School of Architecture, University of Limerick, Limerick. Tel: +353 61 213438 Website: www.ul.ie/architecture This course was was granted ‘Provisional Approval’ by the RIAI in 2006. The course will be re-visited each year until the first cohort of graduates completes the course. At that stage, if the course is assessed by an RIAI Visiting Board as meeting RIAI standards, full Accreditation would be granted.

University College Cork / Cork Institute of Technology

The qualification to be awarded after a four-year course is a BSc (Hons) in Architecture. A further one-year course leading to a Masters Degree in Architecture is planned. UCC and CIT have formally applied to the RIAI for accreditation and a Visiting Board has been appointed. ‘Provisional Approval’ can be awarded to a course where the RIAI Visiting Board decides that course proposal meets RIAI requirements. Full ‘Accreditation’ is only awarded after the first cohort of students graduates from the course and is assessed by an RIAI Visiting Board as meeting RIAI standards..

Queen’s University Belfast

It should also be remembered that Ireland provides other routes to architect; such as the Architectural Technology courses that give a stepping stone to the architecture courses described above.
