Sometimes you don’t need to build anything… #Design

I may be unique but if something doesn’t need to be built then I don’t recommend building. If the same can be achieved with maybe moving a few walls, creating new openings, changing windows to doors or integrating the architecture with the landscape – then I will. This is what the architect is good at – thinking about how you can use your existing space better.

Below is a case in point that is currently on site:

A modernish bungalow in County Mayo that just needed a bit of updating. What we are doing is:

• A more cohesive landscaping that ties inside and outside
• New openings formed where openings were
• New windows and doors in better proprotions, openings, u-value and colour
• New kitchen
• Interior Design

I’ll upload some more photos when the interiors are ready, watch this space…
