Mark, what I really need to be able to do with my small projects here in the States is QUICKLY be able to show clients how their investment in systems and assemblies will save them money. It can be just talk and I don’t have fees to explore high priced energy modeling. Clients often don’t way to pay more for insulation beyond the code minimum because they can’t SEE how it will benefit them. I’d love to explore Passivhaus concepts but many clients struggle with putting more than a few inches of fiberglass (but they’ll complain about their operating expenses, etc.). An app that could begin to get at the heart of these issues would be great for us small practitioners. Even an app that shows ‘best practices’ for wall, roof and slab assemblies with some idea of initial cost ($, $$, $$$).

      Hi Lee

I like it, we have same problem here; especially when client wants to buy fancy kitchen/cooker etc…

If it happens I’ll make sure you get one for free!

I had a client forgo a better insulation system due to cost. They went out and bought a stove/oven that cost 20% more than the cost to upgrade the insulation. I guess you can play with insulation.
