DO NOT COVER UP WORK BEFORE INSPECTED

With S.I.9 (2014) on it’s way and a draft Code of Practice concerning inspections published (the final Code of Practice is awaited from the DECLG), the most important part that needs to be drilled into contractors is that any works that require to be inspected are done so before any ‘covering-in’ is done.

It requires the architect and contractor to work together to ensure that this doesn’t happen.

I’ve already published cards I’m using for site inspections (right side widget) and now I’ve made a separate sheet explaining the importance. This is so important that it’s also in ‘Important stuff’ & ‘Advice Notes’, again right side widget.
