Well we made it, flight to UK from Knock; then from Heathrow to Gatwick and incredibly made it on time to catch the ‘After Hours’ event at Frank Lloyd Wright’s Robie House. Every Friday evening in October (& April) Robie House opens its doors for evening viewings with drinks, canapés & live music:

Designed in 1906 for a bicycle & motorcycle manufacturer; Robie House is the epitomy of Wright’s Prairie School Style. The exterior is formed with base, wall & cornice – common characteristics to all Wrights’ Prairie houses. Floors and balconies in reinforced concrete with immense overhangs that are created by hidden steel beams. Below are a few photos from the evening:
